Catterline
Collagraph print 26x17cms Edition 10 £50
I visited Catterline ( small fishing village where Joan Eardley lived and worked) several years ago. I wanted to paint the view she painted of the wee houses from the harbour which she had painted- unfortunately the trees had grown and it was full summer so the wee houses were barely to be seen - so I painted the harbour instead.

Swooping terns at Cellardyke
Collagraph print Edition 10 39x13cms £50
The East Neuk of Fife fishing villages are all very pretty each with their own character. I love the washing line along the harbour wall at Cellardyke. I think the terns were on a day trip from the Isle of May.

Cows on the beach £50 (Balnakeill)
Edition 10 Print size 39x13 cms Collagraph
A whole herd of cows were sunbathing on the beach, then suddenly their body clocks must have simultaneously given them the same information and they upped and walked across the beach in unison and through the dunes out of sight. These 2 were the stragglers.

Muckle Flugga Shetland £50
Edition 10 Print size 39x13 cms Collagraph
Muckle Flugga is the furthest north lighthouse in the UK. The outcrop of rock to the right of the lighthouse is Out stack which is the last piece of land before the North Pole. We had to run the gauntlet of Bonxies to get to this sketch point. Bonxies are Great Skuas and are very territorial - they dive bomb people particularly at nesting time. Wear a hat!
My plein aire sketch of Muckle Flugga (on the right) had an unfortunate encounter with red wine! Sold out

Portsoy
edition 20, size 13x29, collagraph £50
In September 2017 I took a solo campervan road trip up the East coast of Scotland. I did this because my inclination has always been to travel to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland . I was completely charmed by the fishing villages of the Moray Firth. I was also the only tourist!
Only a pencil sketch this time it started raining really hard before I could get onto the watercolours. Ran for home!

Latheron Wheel
Edition size 10 Print 38x13 collagraph £50 I stayed with a good friend Donna in Latheron Wheel and her husband (in orange in the print) took me out in his boat. I sketched the cliffs and then caught lots of mackerel and one cod. Duncan smoked the mackerel for me in his garage - and I took some away as I continued my travelling northward along the coast.

Bow fiddle rock Portknockie
Edition size 10 Collagraph print 26x17cms £50
Just before I finished painting my plein aire watercolour sketch the heavens opened and washed all my watercolour paint away and drenched me! I made up for it by driving back to Cullen and treating myself with a great bowl of Cullen Skink - nyum

Crovie £50
Edition 10 Print size 39x13 cm Collagraph
I reached Crovie by walking along a wee coast path hugging the cliffs and this is the view from that path. I didn't fancy driving the road down to Crovie as my hand brake wasn't working very well and I had just scared myself silly driving out of Pennan - fortunately I didn't meet cars coming down as I didn't dare stop! These Aberdeenshire villages are a hidden treasure - so pretty.

I still have many images waiting to become prints and at the end of lockdown will scurry up to the highlands and islands again and make even more!
