Autumn view: Glen Docherty

Mum and I drove up to Achnasheen over the pass and painted in the car park at the viewpoint - I've wanted to paint from there for a while. We then drove back to Loch Carron through Glen Torridon - the autumn colours were stunning! I am not exagerating in my print. See the plein aire watercolour below. It was very mixed weather - wild rainstorms - bursts of sunlight on the mountainside and we must have seen 50 rainbows. The rainbows reflected the mountain colours.

I used AKUA carborandum to get the intensity of colour on the collagraph plate.
