Not all plates produce the effect you want.
These are my two plates -the notes all over them is testament to the amount of thought and preparation. The fist plate on the right was intended to print blue -for the sky the water and shadows. This is a new direction for me -usually I use two plates just to keep colours separate -particularly green and blue.
The second plate on the left is the rocks and trees -colours green and orange ( beech trees). With a wee rollover on the rocks to get orange highlights.

This is the first print of the first plate -I already feel it is too much blue
Picture
I was unhappy with the beech trees -is I decided to hack back into the plate to get mother texture.

The final print - I feel there is a lack of tone, I don’t like the water, I have posted this on Facebook and been advised not to abandon the plate - to pull back the red - so I will.
