Ive been to Lewis and Harris twice and driven down to Barra once through the majority of the Islands - a third visit was postponed by Covid. Ness Lighthouse is in the far North West and I find it strange on an Island of stone to have a brick lighthouse.
My mum and I stayed in this black house.
I have also made a collagraph concertina artist book of Callanais
When I was sketching this lighthouse I turned round - I had an audience of 4 sheep carefully watching me - I made a print of the sheep as well. - but Ive sold all but one and that's not a very good one.
This beach ha a time and tide bell that rings at hightide - it is possible to see it in the print.
A couple of sketches from Barra - around the famous beach airport. I watched this plane land - a man had to clear the runway of sheep first - sheep on the beach!
